We're thrilled to announce that we're taking part in Shitbox Rally 2027 - Winter! We’ll be hitting the road in our $1,500-or-less Shitbox, driving from Cairns to Darwin on an unforgettable 7-day adventure. It’s not just about the drive—it’s about making a real difference in the fight against cancer.
Every participating team is required to raise a minimum of $5,000. Every dollar raised goes directly to Cancer Council and helps fund vital cancer research, which is why we’re doing everything we can to hit our goal. Your support, whether big or small, will have a real impact.
What is STATTB? It's a bit of fun!
It's an acronym for "Said The Actress To The Bishop"
Here's the story, or version there of :
A Bishop was holding a garden party and while showing his roses to an actress guest, pricked his finger on a thorn, drawing a small amount of blood.
Some time later, while seated at lunch, " Bishop, how's your little prick", Said the Actress to the Bishop. The Bishop replied, "Throbbing".
A waiter standing close by and witnessing the exchange, is said to have dropped whatever he was carrying. And the legend was born!
The saying is sexual innuendo. It can be woven into conversation very easily.
STATTB are driving a $1,500 car from Cairns to Darwin to raise money for Cancer Council
They're doing what!?
Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
Donate NowEvery rally. Every dollar.
