We’re joining the Shitbox Rally, taking on the challenge of driving a car worth less than our skis from Cairns to Darwin — all to raise money for a cause that is close to our hearts: The Cancer Council. ❤️
We know mountains.
We know snow.
We know how to ski tour, read a weather map and Apre.
What we don’t know is much about cars. 😂
Between us, we haven’t changed a tyre in about 20 years. We have jumper leads, we know how to jump-start a car, and we’re reasonably confident that YouTube counts as mechanical training.
So… what could possibly go wrong?
This is going to be a long way outside our comfort zone — and that’s exactly why we’re doing it.
We’re hoping to learn a few new skills, meet some amazing people, have plenty of laughs, survive the corrugations and, most importantly, raise as much money as we can for The Cancer Council.
Because cancer touches far too many families, friends and communities. If driving a questionable car across the Top End can help make even a small difference, then we’re very happy to trade our skis for a shitbox.
So please follow us, share our adventure and donate if you can.
Every dollar helps us get closer to our fundraising goal — and every bit of encouragement might help us when we’re standing beside the car wondering why it has stopped. 😂
❤️ Follow us. Share it. Donate if you can.
Cairns → Darwin.
One very questionable car.
Two optimistic women.
One seriously important cause.
Let’s do this Off-Piste
Off Piste are driving a $1,500 car from Cairns to Darwin to raise money for Cancer Council
They're doing what!?
Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
Donate NowEvery rally. Every dollar.
Directly to Cancer Council.
Box Rallies is the largest funder of cancer research in Australia — outside of the government. Every dollar supports Cancer Council.
