We're thrilled to announce that we're taking part in Shitbox Rally 2027 - Winter!
The Shitbox Rally is about far more than driving an old Rodeo Ute across Australia. It’s about taking on an unforgettable adventure, embracing a little chaos and raising money for a cause that means so much to us.
We are Team Last Rodeo – Sue and Reanna, a mum-and-daughter team taking on the Cairns to Darwin Shitbox Rally in 2027 in our trusty Rosie the Rodeo Ute.
Rosie may be old, a little rough around the edges and possibly held together by hope, zip ties and cowgirl determination, but she’s ready for the ride of her life.
We’re not entirely sure whether she’ll make it to Darwin under her own steam, but we’re confident she’ll provide plenty of laughs, stories and roadside adventures along the way!
Like so many families, cancer has touched our lives personally. Sue lost her dad to cancer when she was young, so supporting Cancer Council and helping fund vital cancer research is a cause very close to our hearts. Our goal is to raise $5,000 for Cancer Council.
Every raffle ticket bought, fundraiser supported, donation made and kilometre travelled brings us closer to that goal — and helps keep Rosie’s wheels turning! One of the best parts of this journey has already been seeing our community, local businesses, family, friends and even complete strangers get behind Last Rodeo. Every bit of support reminds us that we’re not doing this alone.
We’ve got a whole posse cheering us on!
So, with our cowgirl hats ready, our boots polished and Rosie preparing for the ride of her life, we’re heading from Cairns to Darwin to raise funds, make memories and hopefully make a difference along the way. There will be dust, breakdowns, questionable navigation, plenty of laughs and probably a few moments where we ask ourselves, “Whose idea was this?” But every bump in the road will be worth it for such an important cause.
Every dollar counts, every kilometre has a purpose, and together we can help kick cancer where it hurts.
Thank you for supporting Team Last Rodeo – Sue & Reanna. 🤠🩵
One ute. Two cowgirls. One big cause. One very questionable road trip. Last Rodeo!
Last Rodeo are driving a $1,500 car from Cairns to Darwin to raise money for Cancer Council
They're doing what!?
Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
Donate NowEvery rally. Every dollar.
Directly to Cancer Council.
Box Rallies is the largest funder of cancer research in Australia — outside of the government. Every dollar supports Cancer Council.
