In 2027, we’ll once again be taking on the Shitbox Rally – Winter, this time driving our $475 Ford Laser Station Wagon ’Shitbox’ from Cairns to Darwin over seven unforgettable days — all to raise money for Cancer Council and help fund vital cancer research.
For us, this rally is personal.
Brandon is taking part in honour of his father, who passed away seven years ago after battling metastatic melanoma. Luke is rallying for his grandma, who has been battling cancer for many years and continues that fight today.
Cancer has had a huge impact on both of our families, and Shitbox Rally gives us a way to turn those experiences into something positive.
This will be our third Shitbox Rally, and thanks to the incredible support of our friends, families, workplaces and communities, we’ve already raised around $25,000 across our previous rallies.
This time, we’re aiming to raise at least another $5,000, which will take our total fundraising to $30,000+ for Cancer Council.
Every donation, big or small, helps fund cancer research and brings us closer to better treatments and outcomes for people facing cancer in the future.
If you can spare a few dollars, we’d be incredibly grateful for your support. And if you can’t donate, sharing our fundraising page goes a long way too.
Cairns to Darwin. Seven days. One questionable Shitbox. And hopefully $30,000+ raised over for a cause that means a hell of a lot to both of us.

They're doing what!?
Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
Donate NowEvery rally. Every dollar.
Directly to Cancer Council.
Box Rallies is the largest funder of cancer research in Australia — outside of the government. Every dollar supports Cancer Council.
