π HAPPY HOOLIGANS β DRIVING FOR A CURE! ππ
Two women, one questionable vehicle, and a whole lot of heart!
We're the Happy Hooligans, and we're gearing up to tackle the Winter Shitbox Rally from Cairns to Darwin, all in the name of raising much-needed funds for cancer research.
This will be Michelleβs very first Shitbox Rally. Cara, however, is heading into her SEVENTH! So, while Cara knows exactly what she's signed up for, while Michelle is blissfully unaware of just how much dust, discomfort and mechanical misfortune lies ahead! π
But behind the laughter, ridiculous costumes and our beloved bee-themed Shitbox, De'Bee'ra the Ze'Bee'ra, there's a cause incredibly close to our hearts.
Michelle is a thyroid cancer survivor, and like so many Australians, has also experienced the heartbreak of losing precious friends and family to this awful disease.
Cara continues to come back, not only because of the Rally family and the fun they all have but she last lost her Step Dad and a really good friend who passed away at only 38 years only. These two amazing men were big time car enthusiasts.
Cancer doesn't discriminate. It touches families, friendships and communities, leaving a lasting impact on everyone in its path. That's why we're doing this. β€οΈ
Happy Hooligans are driving a $1,500 car from Cairns to Darwin to raise money for Cancer Council
They're doing what!?
Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
Donate NowEvery rally. Every dollar.

Box Rallies is the largest funder of cancer research in Australia — outside of the government. Every dollar supports Cancer Council.
