We’re incredibly excited to share that we’re taking part in the Shitbox Rally 2027 Winter! 🚗💨

June 2027 we’ll be jumping into our $1,500 (max) Shitbox and taking on the 7 day trip from Cairns to Darwin to raise funds for Cancer Council. It’s going to be dusty, challenging, hilarious and hopefully filled with plenty of memories along the way!

But for us, this journey is about so much more than a questionable car and a long road trip. ❤️

We’re taking on the rally in memory of our beautiful niece, Emerson “Emmie” Donchi. Emmie was incredibly loved and will forever be missed. Taking on this challenge in her memory gives us a way to honour her while helping make a difference for other families facing cancer.

Every team taking part is required to raise a minimum of $5,000, with every dollar raised going directly to Cancer Council to support vital cancer research.

Whether you donate $5, share our page, follow along with our adventures, every bit of support means the world to us.

One Shitbox. One epic adventure. One very important cause.

CAIRNS DARWIN 3,400 km in a $1,500 car EMMIES ECHIDNAS

Emmies Echidnas are driving a $1,500 car from Cairns to Darwin to raise money for Cancer Council

They're doing what!?

Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.

Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.

The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.

And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.

This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
