We all know someone affected by Cancer. It’s a journey filled with fear, hope, exhaustion, and courage — and no one should face it alone. That’s why we’re stepping up as Team Egging It, doing something a little crazy and a lot meaningful.

In Winter 2027, we’ll be driving a $1,500 “shitbox” from Cairns to Darwin in the Shitbox Rally. Seven days, thousands of kilometres, plenty of dust, and hopefully lots of laughs. We can’t “leg it” — one of us is missing a leg and a few toes — so we’re proudly Egging It instead.

Will the car make it? Will we make it? Will zip ties, duct tape, and blind optimism be enough? Probably not — but we’re doing it anyway and do need your support.

Every team must raise at least $5,000, and every cent goes directly to Cancer Council to fund vital cancer research. Your support, big or small, genuinely makes a difference.

If you can donate, share, or simply cheer us on, you’re helping us carry this cause forward.

Thank you for being part of our journey if it is sharing, cheering or donating $5, it all makes a difference.

CAIRNS DARWIN 3,400 km in a $1,500 car EGGING IT

Egging It are driving a $1,500 car from Cairns to Darwin to raise money for Cancer Council

They're doing what!?

Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.

Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.

The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.

And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.

This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
